What's on and coming up...

Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, and the NaviStitch shop on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...

In the Sail Loft...

We've got a printed digital art exhibition by 'Heimdall' in our Sail Loft this week and next. Each print is a limited edition of 1 and is signed by the artist. Framed and unframed work is available and there really is something unique for everyone!

An emerging talent, come and support his exhibition which is with us until 24th February.

From 27th February until 9th March we have the Sail Loft's friend and amazing artist Anne Plummer joining us.

Anne will be exhibiting her paintings of Marbles, these need to be seen to be believed, alongside becalmed Barges and Boats, a subject matter that she is best known for.

And then...

It's our Spring Exhibition from 16th March to 13th April, with a preview evening on Friday 15th March to which you're all invited and will be able to meet some of the artists taking part.

So, if you're a local artist and you'd like to submit work for our mixed art exhibition, we'd love to hear from you. We're happy to consider work in any medium (including photography, textile art and 3d work), from professional or amateur artists. We love to support emerging artists so do consider applying.

For all the details on how to apply, click here. Submission deadline is 2nd March.

We've got lots of other exciting exhibitions happening in the Sail Loft but have a few gaps in our calendar still. If you're an artist or maker and are interested in hiring the Sail Loft for an exhibition, workshop or pop-up event, take a look at details of our space and how to book.

In the NaviStitch shop...
Carved wooden birds by artist Jayson Fletcher

Artist Jayson Fletcher has brought in four new pieces of work over the last couple of weeks which you'll see when you visit. Three beautiful swans and an east coast oyster catcher. As always, Jayson's work is created from reclaimed timber and looks great against our brick walls ... how great would it look in your home? You're welcome to come and see for yourself - we've certainly got a packed shop and Sail Loft at the moment!

Since we opened we've continued to grow and develop our range of giftware. To appreciate it all, you'll have to pay us a visit!

We've got map mugs depicting the local area, tote bags, Manningtree mermaid magnets (love a bit of alliteration!); we've got Nordic glass (50% sale on this week and next week too!), we've got books by local authors, all of the greeting cards and wrapping paper you'll ever need - all in all a one-stop-shop if you need a gift for a friend (or yourself!)

We look forward to seeing you in the NaviStitch shop as soon as you're able - whether it's to gift shop, see new nautical stitched art that I've been working on or to take a look at our latest Sail Loft exhibition.

In other news...

We're excited to announce that, if you're a gift shop or a seller of greeting cards or nautical wares, if you're a coastal retailer, a nautical-themed venue or a seaside store - or even a gift shop with no nautical connections whatsoever (we have other ranges too!), I now have a wholesale website just for you.

My many greeting card collections can now be purchased direct from me, online, via my trade website. Cards come in multiples of 6 and you have the option of biodegradable cello or without. I'd love you to take a look and let me know what you think. You'll need to register for an account as it's a retailer-only site

And finally...

Keep abreast of everything happening in our Sail Loft, in the NaviStitch Shop, and Manningtree High Street by following us on social media - we've got lots of new and different exhibitions this year, as well as old friends joining us again with new shows.

Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing

Sam
