Affordable Art Show Graphic

It's the last week, this week, for our exhibition from Wisdom Art Prints. Their art deco style illustrations of familiar local scenes are hugely popular. Reminiscent of travel posters from a bygone era, this work is brought to us from their Tiptree-based studio.

And what's more, they've launched a new Mistley print at our exhibition - it's really worth a look if you're a local, or if you know someone that would appreciate a gift that evokes memories of our local area.

Artist Rob Wisdom joins us in the NaviStitch shop on Saturday, so come in and meet him if you can.

Coming up next...

Art Around the Walls takes place in Mistley and Manningtree on 1st and 2nd July - you can see the work of 22 artists at 16 different venues.

At NaviStitch we're hosting the work of Amanda Clement-Robinson, Jem Gooding, Liesel Kennedy and Sue Bedford, alongside my own work as an independent artist.

We're also exhibiting a single piece of work from each of the artists taking part in the trail, all of which have been donated and are for sale by sealed bid with the aim of raising funds to put back into community projects benefitting our town. Click here for more details

And then...

From the 8th to the 29th July we have our Summer Exhibition: a mixed selection of artists working in a variety of mediums. We have around 30 artists taking part this time for an interesting and varied show - you can find them all here. More details next time but do note in your diary the preview night which is the 7th July 5-8pm for first view of this exhibition.

In the area...

Manningtree Has Pride is this Saturday - and our town is about to become a whole lot more colourful! The event is being hosted to raise awareness, educate and celebrate LGBTQ+ - there's a sports day, live music and entertainment, a dame show and all kinds of talks and seminars, a charity car wash, face painting and glitter design ... and there's evening cabaret and burlesque show too! Keep your eye on the Town's Instagram page for details.

Manningtree Beer Festival Poster

On 14th and 15th July Manningtree is hosting its 18th Beer Festival.

Held on Quay Street, there are lots of things planned - live music from local artists, as well as a great selection of beers, ciders, wine and prosecco - another great event in our fabulous little town.

Cheers to all of the great things happening around our great NaviStitch shop!

and finally, in other news...
Nautical Stitched Art Commission

Here's a commission that I've recently worked on - it's a beautiful vessel named Overlord. Unusually, I was given the chart to work on, and I had a fabulous picture to work from too. Dad was then gifted back his chart with my Overlord embroidery on it as a framed, permanent keepsake. Take a look at how simple it is to commission your own piece of bespoke, nautical stitched art: https://www.navistitch.com/commissions

Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing

Sam
