NaviStitch and Sail Loft News

Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, the NaviStitch shop, and on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...

In the Sail Loft

We’re in the final days of our exhibition featuring the remarkable work of CJ Harvey Woodturning alongside the captivating aerial photography of Christian Davies. The show finishes tomorrow (Saturday), don’t miss your chance to experience it!

Chris Harvey’s craftsmanship with wood and resin is truly one of a kind. While his bowls and vases are stunning, it’s his imaginative clocks and mesmerizing ‘Hidden Worlds’ pieces that really steal the spotlight.

Sharing the gallery walls is Christian Davies’ stunning aerial photography, offering a unique perspective of the local landscape—many visitors have been delighted to spot their own homes!

Lovely Frames!

A lovely set of four of my watercolours left the shop this week. I leave a lot of my watercolours mounted but unframed. For two reasons, firstly so that the customer can choose a frame that suits their home and style and secondly so that they are easy to send in the post for customers that don't live near Manningtree.

The customer chose the light blue frame to work with these pieces, the frames were made through our framing service with Nick Holyman Framing. With all the choices available with our framing service I'm sure we can find the perfect frame to compliment any piece of art that you need framed.

Only a few places remaining!

Places are filling fast for my paper embroidery workshops on Saturday 23rd August. Just one place remains for the coastal workshop and five places remain on the botanical workshop. I am really looking forward to sharing my skills and teaching how to create one of these mini masterpieces. As well as leaving with new found knowledge you will also leave with a goodie bag of some of the essential tools to carry on creating when you get home. You will find all the details here.

And finally...

I am thrilled to be part of the Summer Collective exhibition at The Gallery at Photovogue in Frinton. This exhibition runs from 4th August to 30th where I will be exhibiting alongside 6 other artists. Wood, leather, paint and stitch, this exhibition is a real treat for the senses, a seasonal showcase not to be missed!

Until next time...

As always, I'm in the NaviStitch shop most days - call in and see me, or get in touch if you fancy chatting about exhibiting, about nautical stitched commissions, about bespoke framing, or if you just fancy a chat!

I wish you calm waters and plain sailing.

Sam
