This botanical themed workshop with Sam Luxford starts with an introduction to the techniques of hand embroidery on paper. You will learn Stem Stitch, Lazy Daisy Stitch, Blanket Stitch and Fly Stitch, combining these stitches with simple watercolour and mixed media to produce a finished A6 size mini artwork. Each student will produce a unique piece, your finished piece will be mounted to fit a 10x8 inch frame.
 
We will take a 45 minute lunch break part way through the day. Lunch is not provided but you are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you or Manningtree has lots of cafe or take away businesses where you can grab a bite to eat.
 
Also included is a starter kit to take away with you to continue to enjoy paper embroidery when you get home. (Starter kit contains cork board. 4 tapestry needles, needle threader, pricking tool and threads)
 
Please be aware that our workshop space is upstairs and our stairs are fairly steep, but there are handrails both sides. Tea and Coffee Included.
 
Cancellation Policy - Cancellations with more than 30 days notice will be refunded or rebooked for another date. Cancellations with less than 30 days notice can only be refunded or rescheduled if we can find another student to take your place.
