In the Sail Loft

Only a few days remain to explore the inspiring work of the Walton Arts and Photographic Society, a talented collective of five artists, each using their own unique style, medium, and subject matter. Alongside beautifully framed originals, you’ll find unframed prints, original pieces, and a delightful range of greetings cards, offering something special for every taste and budget.

The exhibition closes this Saturday, so make sure you don’t miss your chance to see it!

Next up

Next up is The Art of Paper Embroidery, an exhibition featuring my latest creations. I’m excited to unveil a fresh collection of botanical-inspired pieces alongside new coastal seascapes, each blending delicate watercolour painting with intricate hand embroidery. I can’t wait to share them with you!

Alongside my exhibition, I’ll be running two creative workshops - one with a Botanical theme and one inspired by the Coast - both taking place on Saturday 23rd August. I’m thrilled by the response so far: the Coastal workshop is already sold out, and there are just three places left for the Botanical session.

The good news for anyine that missed out is that I’ve added an extra date - Saturday 25th October - now open for booking on my website. here

In Manningtree (well Mistley)

We’re looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend, and in true Manningtree style, there’s a fantastic local event to keep everyone entertained. On Sunday 24th August, the much-loved Mistley Pram Race returns, a fun-filled day out for the whole family. You can find all the details on their Facebook page here.

And finally...

Applications to take part in our Autumn Exhibition have now closed — and we’re thrilled with the incredible response! The Autumn Exhibition will feature work from some of our much-loved Sail Loft regulars, as well as a number of talented artists exhibiting with us for the very first time.

With so many skilled submissions, we have a few tough decisions to make this week (if only we had space for it all!). I’ll be confirming details with all participating artists in the next couple of days, but one thing’s for certain — we have an amazing exhibition ahead.

Mark your calendars: Preview Night will be on Friday 5th September, 5–8pm, and everyone is welcome.
