Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, the NaviStitch shop, and on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...
In the Sail Loft...
Another amazing two-week Sail Loft Gallery exhibition ends on Saturday so, if you've not made it yet, come along and see Susan Keeble and Loueen Morrison and their bright and beautiful work. Painting, printing, ceramics - these two incredible creatives have no end to their talents. We're here til 4 today and then 10-4 tomorrow and Saturday; we look forward to seeing you.
Next up....
From 30th April to 4th May we're delighted to welcome Mae Kandoo to the Sail Loft Gallery.
In her own words: "(my exhibition) 'Once upon a
time' features an eclectic mix of home and
personal accessories. Each item has it's own story because it has been handmade using reclaimed or vintage fabrics that were once something else! Trading as Mae Kandoo, Designer Maker Vikki's
work reflects her passion for eco-design. Featured
in this eclectic collection are bags made from
Thames Barge Sail Cloth, bespoke deck chairs and other quirky items that are beautifully hand made."
And then...
Following on, we have four artists, all friends of NaviStitch, working together to create an amazing show:
🎨 Alison Adcock Art brings 'Two Stops Short of Dagenham' from 7th May to 8th June, along with:
🎨 Anne Plummer Painter, showing her Maritime and Mono Prints;
🎨 Pauline Wilson is exhibiting her Mixed Media and Textiles; and
🎨 Tina Bullen's work is entitled 'Extracts from Hands and Wings', both with us from 7th May to 25th May.
🎨 Finally, from 28th May to 8th June, we have a solo show from Amanda Clement-Robinson
So much amazing art, and then it's June...
In other news...
As if you needed yet another reason to visit Manningtree: tomorrow marks the first date in a monthly calendar of makers' markets right in the Market Square:
and then some 'save the dates'...
If you haven't already, make sure to get "Art Around the Walls" in your diary for on 6th and 7th July.
Our annual art trail around Mistley, Manningtree and Lawford will take part at various venues and you'll be able to visit all of them over the weekend, with lots of amazing artists involved.
Manningtree Pride is on 14th/15th June this year. NaviStitch will be hosting an art auction and we're looking forward to a great, fun weekend!
And finally...
Keep abreast of everything happening in our Sail Loft, in the NaviStitch Shop, and Manningtree High Street by following us on social media - we've got lots of new and different exhibitions this year, as well as old friends joining us again with new shows.
Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing
Sam
