NaviStitch and Sail Loft News

Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, the NaviStitch shop, and on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...

In the Sail Loft...

We're delighted to have four artists, all friends of NaviStitch, working together to create an amazing 'Exhibition of 4 Halves' in our Sail Loft until 25th May:

🎨 Alison Adcock Art brings 'Two Stops Short of Dagenham'

🎨 Anne Plummer Painter, showing her Maritime Paintings and Mono Prints;

🎨 Pauline Wilson is exhibiting her Mixed Media and Textiles; and

🎨 Tina Bullen's work is entitled 'Extracts from Hands and Wings'

Next up....

From 28th May to 8th June, Alison Adcock and Anne Plummer remain.

And joining us with a Solo exhibition is our very good friend and hugely talented artist Amanda Clement-Robinson, with her combinations of vintage music scores, old cigarette cards and textiles of botanical drawings.

And then...

It's coming back!

Our Affordable Art Show from 11th to 29th June.

Keep your eyes peeled on our socials and our calendar for more details on how to add something unique to your collection for an affordable price.

During the first week of the Affordable Art Fair, we'll also be hosting the Manningtree has Pride Art Auction - more details to come.

In its second year, Manningtree has Pride takes place over 12 locations in the town on 15th June from 12noon-6pm. There will be food, drink, art, music, drag, lectures, a raffle, beach activities and lots more!

Be sure to put it in your calendar - it's a great family day promoting awareness, education and celebration.

In the NaviStitch Shop...

We love our rotating exhibitions in the Sail Loft Gallery, but it's always a shame to see artists' work leaving. So, we have a guest wall made up of those amazing creatives that have exhibited with us previously. We've recently had a reshuffle - see how many of our incredibly talented previously Sail Loft exhibitors you can recognise when you next visit!

If you need yet another reason to visit, we've also just taken delivery of a whole new brood of wooden birds - if you're looking for a gift for someone, from art to tote bags, from birds to map mugs, wooden postcards, fridge magnets, coasters and trinkets we really have got something for everyone!

We'd love to see you when you're next in Manningtree High Street!

In other news...

Although it's still a while off, we've been working with our 28+ artists and 16 venues to finalise arrangements for this year's best 3-mile walk around Lawford, Manningtree and Mistley you can take!

Get "Art Around the Walls" in your diary for on 6th and 7th July, and follow our event-specific Facebook and Instagram accounts so that you can learn all about the artists and venues taking part.

And finally...

Three last things to remind you:

For wholesalers of greeting cards, coastal gift shops, nautical themed venues, we now have a dedicated website

If you're an artist or maker and are interested in hiring the Sail Loft for an exhibition, workshop or pop-up event, take a look at details of our space and how to book. Although our calendar looks quite busy busy, we do have two exhibition rooms and we still have some single-room spaces available.

If you'd like to find out about commissioning a bespoke piece of nautical stitched art to make memories for someone special, or to record something you'd like to remember, take a look at how easy it is.

Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing

Sam
