What's on and coming up...

Here's what's happening in our creative space, the Sail Loft, above the NaviStitch shop on Manningtree High Street over the coming weeks...

In the Sail Loft...

We're delighted to have had a great first week with 'The Two': Amanda Clement-Robinson and Sue Bedford aka Dotty Bee, and to have welcomed them back for their second week of their collaborative exhibition. If you get a chance to visit Manningtree before we close on Saturday, this is a great mixed exhibition from two experienced local artists. We'd love to see you too!

And then...

We're looking forward to a father / son exhibition from 1st to 11th October: Tazzy Bro Photography will be sharing our Sail Loft Gallery with artist MATTRéSS. We can't wait for our walls to be lined with amazing photography of the local area and beyond, and bright, colourful abstract art. You'll also be able to buy Tazz's 2024 Calendar!

And then it's Christmas!

We're really pleased to be able to reveal those artists and makers taking part in our Christmas pop-up shop this year. Get the dates in your diary and be sure to add us to your list of Christmas shopping venues - with almost 30 different 'shops' within one, you'll be sure to get most of it wrapped up with us!

Thanks to Tazzy Bro Photography for the pics last year.

In other news...

We'll be launching the printed packs of winning Manningtree Christmas cards at our Christmas Pop-up Shop preview on 17th November from 4pm-8pm. However, to be assured of your favourites, I'm placing an order for print tomorrow, so you can pre-order yours here:

(£8/pack of 6). Don't miss out - we're anticipating these being pretty popular. And just look how happy you'd make Lux and Kat, two of our hugely worthy winners (as well as the local charities benefitting too)!

In the NaviStitch shop...

We've got some cracking gift items in the NaviStitch shop at the moment - our collection of wooden birds (a veritable aviary), make for a lovely affordable Christmas (or birthday, anniversary, friendship...) gift! And on the subject of birds, Jayson Fletcher has left with us a stunning hand carved Mute Swan made from reclaimed timbers. It looks stunning against our brick fireplace - how great would this look in your home?

We've also got new Manningtree sailing boat magnets in the NaviStitch shop - they sit very nicely alongside our mermaid magnets... local fridges and noticeboards will look bare without them - also fabulous little gifts for visitors to our fair shores!

And finally...

As we've been talking of Christmas, it's never too early to plan ahead. If you're thinking about something bespoke and personal for someone special this year, why not talk to me about a piece of nautical stitched art to help with a special memory or place? If you fancy commissioning a piece of tailored artwork for Christmas, or for a special occasion, take a look at how easy it is.

Until next time, I wish you calm waters and plain sailing

Sam
